This Is A Top Quality New Rear Servo Piston For These Automatic Transmissions:
FORD MERCURY
C4 1964**
C4 1965 THRU 1981.
C5 1982 THRU 1986.
**Will Fit Most To All 1964 C4 But Please Note This Is Not The Bolt On The End Type Servo.
This Servo Is Made Of Steel With A New Bonded Rubber Seal That Can Be Used In These Applications;
STOCK
FULL RACE
OFF-ROAD
TOWING
STREET/STRIP
Please Note After Normal Use These Servo Seal Become Hard And Do Not Seal Well After Time. The Seal Is Non Serviceable Due To It Being Bonded To The Steel Of The Piston So The Complete Servo Piston Must Be Changed.
Common Issues With This Servo Failing Are:
Low/reverse Slip Or Delay
Slow Engagement In Low/reverse When Cold
No Reverse
Poor Low Gear Performance
